ioGenetics announces Scientific Advisory Board appointments

today announced the appointment of its Science Advisory Board. Initially the Board will comprise four distinguished scientists:

Dr. Jennie Mather: With more than 30 years of experience in cell culture and cell biology research, Dr. Mather is a recognized leader in the application of cell biology to technology and pharmaceutical product development. Dr. Mather was a Staff Scientist for 15 years at Genentech. In 1999 Dr. Mather founded Raven biotechnologies and grew Raven's strong pipeline of antibody therapeutics to its acquisition by Macrogenics in 2008. In 2009 Dr. Mather launched CanFel Therapeutics, which will develop cancer therapeutics for companion animals.

Dr. Gary Splitter: Dr. Splitter has been on the faculty of the Animal Health and Biosciences Department at the University of Wisconsin Madison for over 30 years. His research interests and expertise are in the area of immunology and bacterial diseases with particular interest in intracellular pathogens.

Dr. Herman Van Cauteren: Founder, Neglected Diseases Foundation. Managing Director, PharmaParacelsus, LLC. Dr. Van Cauteren is the former global head of Preclinical Development at Johnson & Johnson Pharma in Raritan, NJ and Beerse, Belgium. He started his 30-year R&D career at Janssen Pharmaceutica (Beerse, Belgium) where he became the Vice President of Preclinical Safety. He held similar senior positions at Novartis and Tibotec. During this period, Herman contributed to the successful development of about 50 new pharmaceuticals.

Robert Woestenborghs: Co-founder, Neglected Diseases Foundation, is the former global head of Preclinical Operations and Project Management at Johnson & Johnson Pharma. He has over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development and a broad knowledge of the different scientific disciplines in the preclinical field. Robert has contributed to the successful development of more than 40 new molecular entities.
